Keith Preston of Andrew Lusk and Co.
We have been trading with R West & Son for 10 years now, annually giving them an order of between 20 and 200 sledge ration boxes for the use of expeditions in Antarctica. The fundamental design of these ration boxes has remained unchanged since Scots time in the early 1900`s. with many components in their construction, such as rope handles, ribbon ties, metal edging and a hinged lid.
The standard of product and finish is a very important consideration in these ration boxes as there contents may have to keep people alive in a survival situation, with temperatures of –50 for a long period of time.
R West & Son have always maintained the standard of workmanship required and have always delivered within the specified times given.
